of the regular Lhrcli 23, 1942, meeting of the Council of the Village of Edina, duly held in Grange Hall on April 1, 1942, at
8:00 orclock P. U.
called to order by the President, the roll called,
of the Council were present.
Appzication by 17orthwestern Bell Telephone Go. for permission to
lay underground cable in and along ETorth side ?:est 4eth Str-eet'
from ii'rance Avenue to Tomnes aoad and I'iorth to Bridge Lane, was .
on inotion ::Tillson be granted, seconded by 't7yat.t and carried.
Application by Xorthern States Power Company to set one pole on
Shervood Avenue and \Test 63rd Street, vas on motion ;:'illson, be granted, seconded 17yatt and carriiid.
After consideration by the Council of the proposition to purdhase
a nem Police car, the necessary V.P,B. Priority Permit having been
obtained, Gebo moved that advertisement for bids be made for
purchase at regular meeting of the Council to be held on April
27th, 1942, seconded by Eosre and carried.
Chairman EIaore reported on progress in construction of sanitary
sewers in District $8, and thereafter moved that a Pull Shovel
attachment be procured for use on Village 15-B Eucyrus-Erie gas shovel. The motion mas seconded by Billson and carried,
The proposition of using Bulldazer equipment for filling sever -.
trench excavations vas discussed, mherein Emre moved that a used wdozern be obtained for use on the Village No. 30 Caterpillzr, to
have hydraulic power take off and nhich could be rented for not to
exceed 290.00 per month, seconded Villson and carried.
