J. C. Miller appeaped to inquire about posstbility of' constructing a storm sewer in Colonial Grove and improvement of Woodland road. He was informed the village engineer is making preliminary stndy of the storm sewer project and that improvement of VBoodland road should be delayed if a sewer 2s to be constructed in the near future, Sheldon Vanderwarker, 5128 Juanita avenue, appeared to request extension of the Arden avenue curb and gutter project to provide curb and gutter on €li6:porth side of Fifty-second street from Arden to Juanita avenue. Motion to grant the request of Mr. Vqnderwarker for extension of the Arden avenue curb and gutter project was made by Hawthorne, seconded by Wyatt and carried. Motion to grant application of J. A. Danens and Sons fop rezoning of S& of Lot 8 and Lot 9, Block 3, Grandview Heights, for commercial use was made by Hawthorne, seconded by Utley. A. Petition signed by 47 property owners in South Harriet Park requesting abandonment or postponement of installation of curb and gutter on the east side of Park place from Woodcrest drive to Fifty-fourth street and on Fifty-fourth street from Park place to llinnehaha creek br&dge was received. Hotion that the petition be considered favorably and that the council rescind its action ordering installation of curb and gutter on the east side of Park place from Woodcrest drive to Fifty-fourth street and on Fifty-fourth street from Park place to Tfnnehaba creek bridge mas made by Hawthorne, seconded by Wyatt. Rollcall vote was Utley, not voting; Willson, aye; Wyatt, aye; Har-rthorne, aye; Todd, aye, and the motion was carried. .) I Petition signed by 12 property owners residing on Woodcrest drive withdrawing their names from previous petitionb for installation of curb and gutter on Park place and Woodcrest drive and requesttrig that . the council abandon and annul all proceedings taken on the previous petition was received. John E. Hotion to deny the petition Letters were received from Douglas Rees requesting favorable consideration of applications for community store zoning for the west 150 feet of' the east 172 feet of the south one-half of Lot 36, Auditor& Subdivision No. 172, and Lots 1, 2+ 3, 4, 14, 15, 16 and 17, Block 5, Brookside, Motion eo refer the letters to the planning commission was made by Wyatt, . seconded by Hawthorne and carried. I The matter of establishing a municipal court in the village was discussed and the village manager was directed to prepare a report on justice court fines and fees for consideration at the next meeting, Eanager Wth pointed out there is immediate need for eliminating leaks in the main trunk sewer and for cleaning sewers in various sections of the village and requested authorization to employ Ben Voehler, assistant waterworks superintendzslnt of St. Peter, Minn,, for such work. help as is needed for sewer work was made by Utley, seconded by Hawthorne and carried.
