HomeMy WebLinkAbout2004-07 Amending Section 850.03 EDINA ORDINANCE NO. 2004-7 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 850 TO PROVDE A DEFINITION OF FENCE HEIGHT, AND STANDARDS FOR MAXIMUM HEIGHT OF FENCES IN THE R-1 AND R-2 DISTRICTS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDINA ORDAINS: Section 1. Subsection 850.03 of Section 850 of the Edina City Code is amended by adding the following thereto:: "Fence Height. The vertical distance measured from the finished grade to the uppermost point of the fence panels. The grade at the fence line shall not be altered in anyway that artificially increases the maximum permitted height of the fence. The height of the fence may exceed the allowed height by a maximum of six inches to accommodate drainage and uneven terrain. Posts may extend beyond the top of any the fence by no more than twelve inches." Section 2. Subsection 850.07 of Section 850 of the Edina City Code is amended by deleting and adding the following: "B. No fence shall exceed eight six feet in height." Section 3.
