Public Hearing Notice
On June 15, 1992,the Edina City Council will complete a year-long
review of all Edina city ordinances. The purpose of this review is to bring the
Edina city code up to date so it better responds to the needs of Edina residents
and businesses.
During this review process the Council will conduct a number of public
hearings. Each hearing will specifically focus on certain sections of the code.
Consideration will also be given to certain chapters after the sections are
discussed.
All hearings will be held in the Edina City Hall Council Chambers,
4801 West 50th Street at 7:00 P.M.
Edina City Code Hearing Schedule
March 16 April 20
The following chapters will be reviewed: The following chapters will be reviewed-
1 General Code Provisions and 9 Beer and Wine Licensing
Administration 10 Misdemeanors and Nuisances
2 Defining and Regulating Public 11 Public Utilities
Dancing Places and Public Dances
Section 475,which provides for PARKING
3 Animal Control and Licensing RAMP INSPECTIONS,and Section 410,
4 Buildings and Construction which embodies portions of the Building
5 Civil Defense and Emergencies Code(including RESIDENTIAL AND
COMMERCIAL FIRE PREVENTION AND
Section 815,which includes regulations FIRE SUPPRESSING SPRINKLING
governing the INSTALLATION AND USE SYSTEMS)will be discussed in detail.
OF ANTENNAS will be discussed in detail.

6 Fire Protection 13 Trades and Occupations
7 Health,Restaurants,and Solid Waste 14 Traffic and Vehicles
8 Land Use and Platting Section 1045,which regulates the STORAGE
Section 215,which includes PROHIBITION OF RECREATIONAL VEHICLES will be
OF GAMBLING AND RAFFLES,and discussed in detail.
Section 460,relating to the POSITIONING,
CONSTRUCTION,SIZE,USE,AND June 1
OTHER ASPECTS OF SIGNS will be First Reading of the entire code
discussed in detail.

Second Reading(Final Enactment)
If you cannot attend these public hearings and would like to have your
comments considered by the City Council,please write to CODE COMMENTS,
Edina City Hall,4801 West 50th Street,Edina MN 55424. Copies of the draft
code may be reviewed at Edina City Hall and at the Edina Community Library,
4701 West 50th Street.

Public Hearing Notice
On July 20, 1992, the Edina City Council will complete a
year-long review of all Edina city ordinances. The purpose of this
review is to bring the Edina city code up to date so it better responds
to the needs of Edina residents and businesses.
During this review,the Council conducted a number of public hearings
which focused upon individual chapters and sections of the Edina city code.The
final hearing, called the second reading,was originally scheduled to be held on
June 15.The Council has decided to delay this second and final reading until
July 20, 1992, at 7:00 P.M. in the Edina City Hall Council Chambers at
4801 West 50th Street.If the Council approves the code after the second
reading,it will become law.
