Mrs. G. B. Gorgas inquired as to Councilts dispositiqn of her request to dividevthe North 50 Feet of the South 70 Feet of Lot 46, Auditor's SubdivisiQn No. 172 into two parts. Planning Codssionts recomendation that Mrs. Gorgas be-. allowed to divide this property providing each portion has an area of 6,500 square feet was reviewed. I!!!* McDaniel stated that Northern States Power Company will leave the light pole where it has been, at the intersection of Circle East and Circle West, and will run the cable underground to this pole as Mr. Bass requests, without charge, but that th'e matter'of p83Ting.for the installation of an ornamental post is bbtween Village and property owners. Gray Company and Bu5ts of Harry Butts Agency speaking on behalf of their policies and reminding Council that they are residents and taxpayers of Village of Wna, and a telephone call to Mr. Crone of Uptown Insurvlco Agency which established-that h$s 20% dividend is not guaranteed. 1 Hahhorne moved that all bids for the Group Accident-Volunteer Firemen Policy and the Liability for Fleet of Cars and Trucks be rejected, and that Clerk be authorized to advertise for bids to be taken March 22, 1948 at 8:OO P. This' action was taken after it was discoirered thzt the two bids taken February 23 and February 28 on the Liability Policy were on a different'basis, and after it was pob-ted out that the bid of Fred L. Gray Company had come in late. had stated that they would take the Group Accident Policy only if awarded the Liability coverage. for both coverages un'til such time as award could be made.
