Xith regard to Curb and Gutte$ bids, hager Mi.tchell reported that he has been
unable to obtain a check on the.low bidder, Henderson & Lemke; that they have not
worked in any of the neighboring municipalities; also; that the Union has promised possible trouble, should the contract be awarded to'them. He recornended that bids
be awarded to Victor Carlson & Son, second low bidder, who~s wrk has always been
entirely satisfactory,to the-Village, Bank1 s motion, that,,Curb and Gutter bids
taken April, 26 be awarded to second low. bidder, Victof Carlson & Sons, at their
bid prices, was seconded by Danens and carried.

communities. He asked that fares be increased to rate of a.35 for first
