Well No. 9.

poorer than anticipated.

Manager Hyde
i This report stated that, although the well has been dug 180 feet
Mr. Bannister suggested four alternatives for Council
1. Pulling of 16" casing back, to expose both Jordan ?&kopee strata--
which would increase the yield but would also increase the chance of
pollution.
2. Pulling of casing back to expose only the Jordan sandrock.
give purer water than Alternate 1, but would result in a lower yield and
would probably require expenditure of some $5,000 for a screen.
Keep well at its present depth, but blast, thus increasing the capacity
to a possible yield of 1000 to 1200 GPM, with water still of a lower
quality than desired. Cost, $1200 to $1300.
Seal off Dresbach formation completely with a 10" liner and grout
and then blast only in the Hinckley formation--which would result in
desired quality of water but yield only 700 to 800 GPM.
This would

Mr. Bannister's report stated that, in his opinion, it is better to secure a good
quality of water, because need for future treatment can be minimized;! and, because
after considerable discussion by the Council--during which it was brought out that
Alternate No. 4 will yield 700 to 800 GPM (with a possible but not probably 1000
GPM) but that water will be considerably b6tter than with other three alternates--
Tupa moved that Council authorize the additional expenditure necessary for
Alternate No. 4. Motion seconded by Dickson and carried.
There being no further business to come before this meeting, Dickson moved for
