Parade, Fireworks and Fun Highlight July 4
Edina, Minn., June 27, 2018 – Celebrate America’s Independence Day with a day of family fun in
Edina, including a parade, patriotic concert and fireworks.
The annual 4th of July Parade, presented by the Edina Community Foundation, starts at 10 a.m.
Wednesday behind City Hall, 4801 W. 50th St., and heads down West 50th Street, ending at Halifax
Avenue. The hour-long parade features marching bands, floats, veterans, animals, local businesses and
organizations. The 2018 theme is “Celebration of Edina’s Seniors.” For the parade lineup and details,

Centennial Lakes Park, 7499 France Ave. S., will be open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 4 for paddle boats,
lawn games and rounds on its putting course. Details are at CentennialLakesPark.com.
The Driving Range and Academy 9 Par 3 Course at Braemar Golf Course, 6364 John Harris Drive,
will be open sunrise to a half-hour before sunset. Book a tee time at BraemarGolf.com.
The Edina Aquatic Center, 4300 W. 66th St., will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for cooling off and
splashing around. Information is at EdinaAquaticCenter.com.
Cap off the day with a patriotic concert by the First John Philip Sousa Memorial Band starting at 8:30
p.m. at Rosland Park, 4300 W. 66th St. Fireworks, presented by Fairview Southdale Hospital, begin
about 10 p.m. over the park.
The Edina Art Center, Braemar Arena, Edinborough Park and the Edina Senior Center are closed
July 4. Edina Liquor stores will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
