COUNCIL LEVIES ASSESSMENT FOR 396.4 OILING IMPROVEMENTS. Pursuant to "Notice of
Assessment Hearing on Street Oiling for 1964,11 published in the Edina-Morningside
Courier on October 15 and 22, 2964, and Notice mailed to owners of all affected
properties, Mayor called public hearing on the proposed assessment for oiling of
several streets during 1964, all. streets having been contained in Notice, and on
Page238A of Minutes Book.

BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Edina, Minnesota, as
follows :

prepaid to the Village Treasurer, he shall promptly notify the Village Clerk and
County Auditor, and the assessment of installment so prepaid shall be cancelled
on the books of the County Auditor.

$89,451.50; and Hurley Construction Co., the high bidder at $137,474.10.

ViUage attorneys indicating the possible alternatives open to the Council in

. provisions of Mimesota Laws, 3.963, Chapter 738, Section 3, Sub-division 3, has
submitted its budget for the operation of Hennepin County General Hospital for
the year 1965, such budget having been submitted on September 22, 1964, and
WHEFEAS, The legality of certain actions of the County in the preparation
of the 1964 budget has been and are now being challenged in a court proceeding,
and
1964 budget has also been employed in the preparation of the 1965 budget in that
certain so called "Educational Expenses" are not allocated but are levied against
the county at large and on an ad valorem tax basis, and
