MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
EDINA VILLAGE COUNCIL, HELD MONDAY,,
NOVEMBER 23, 1964, AT 7:30 P.M., AT

November 23, 1964, at 11:OO A.M., f9r "Three Police Cars." Tabulation showed
Manager Hyde presented Tabulation of Bids received Monday,
Kay Motors, St. Louis Park, to be low bidder with net bid prices of $1,399,49,
of $1,378.00, $1,203.00 and $1,203.00; and Jordan Ford, Excelsior, high bidder
at $1,430.00, $1,255.00 and $1,255100. Manager Hyde submitted that the Lowest
single bid, The Midway Company at $1,378, was a Ford vehicle, and that the
immediate experience with Fords purchased in April, 1964, has been unsatisfactory.
It'was further explained that the second-low prices, Kay Motors at $999.49 each,
were on vehicles which did not meet the intent of the specifications, although
they did meet the literal specifications.

VanValkenburg's motion, rejecting all bids taken November 23, 1964, and
re-advertisement for bids on revised specificqtions for opening and Council
consideration on December 7, 1964, was seconded by Tupa and carried,
The meeting's agenda having been covered, Tupa moved for adjournment. Motion was
seconded by MacMillan and carried.
