Manager Hyde stated that a petition had been received signed by four property
owners which favored the improvement and another petition had been received, signed
by nine property owners, which opposed the'improvement.
5425 Woodcrest Drive, stated that Glen R. Dornfeld had signed both petitions,
but that he was withdrawing his name from the petition favoring the curb and gutter.
Mr. Roberts also stated that he liked the street as it now exists.

statement that his father plans on fighting Watermain Improvement No, 204, and in,
the event that efforts to secure easements are unsuccessful, VanValkenburg offered
the following Resolution and moved its adoption:

Section 3. The Zoning Ordinance (No. 261) of the Village,

LAKE. CONFERENCE HOCKEY AGREEMENT EXECUTION AUTHORIZED.
Resolution authorizing execution of the Lake Conference Hockey Agreement.

then offered the following Resolution and moved its adoption. .

WHEREAS. on the basis of the written and oral assurances of the various
independent schooi districts comprising the Lake Conference Association, that each
of them would enter into the Agreement, dated as of June 15, 1965, with the Village
of Edina, the Council authorized the award of contracts for the construction of an
indoor ice arena in Braemar Park notwithstanding that it appears that the cost
therefor will be from $75,000 to $100,000 in excess of the estimated cost; and
June 15, 1965, consisting of eight typewritten pages, between each of the nine
independent school districts comprising the Lake Conference Association and the
Village, a copy of which Agreement was presented to, read at and ordered filed with
the minutes of this meeting, appears reasonable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that upon the receipt of signed agreements
from each of the nine independent school districts comprising the Lake Conference
Association, the Mayor and Village Manager of the Village of Edina, on behalf of and
in the name of the Village, execute and deliver to each of said independent school
districts a copy of said Agreement; and
employees of this Village be, and they hereby are, authorized and directed to do all
things necessary or incidental to carry out the terms and conditions of said Agreement;
and
the Village Manager be directed to request each of the independent school districts
to consent to the amendment of paragraph 8 of said Agreement to provide for a
renewal term of five years rather than two years and to report to the Council with respect
to the response to such request.
WHEREAS, in the judgment of the Council the said Agreement dated as of

VanValkenburg presiding. Village Assessor, Donald Kearns , submitted the Record
of Valuations for the Year 1965.

The meeting was convened promptly at 5:OO P.M. , pursuant to "Notice of Board of
Review' Meeting" published in Edina-Morningside Courier on June 24 and July 1,
1965, and posted on Village Bulletin Boards on June 14, 1965.

values were assessed at $35,230,000 and Personal Property values were assessed
at $2,425,000 with a total assessed valuation of $37,655,000, showing an increase
of approximately $1,720,000.
