HELD THURSDAY, .JULY 11, 1968, AT 5:OO P.M.
AT THE EDINA VILLAGE HALL
Councilmen Courtney, 'Johnson, .Shaw, VanValkenburg and Mayor Bredesen acted
as the Board of Review, with Councilman VanValkenburg presiding.
The Meeting was convened promptly at 5:OO p.m. pursuant to "Notice of Board
of Review Meeting" posted and published in the Edina Sun on June 27 and July
3, 1968.
Mr. Kearns advised Council that the total assessed value would be approximat'ely
$10,000,000 higher than the 1967 assessment, 60% of which would be in revalued
land and 40% of which would be for new constructiont
In reply to a question of Council, Mr. Robert Martin, Assistant County
Assessor, advised that all Subirban Hennepin County values were substantially
increased from previous assessments and that all ratios were relatively equal.
Following considerable discussion, Councilman Shaw's motion that valuations
for the year 1968 be approved as presented by the Village Assessor was seconded
by Councilman Johnson and carried.
