STATEMENT OF ESTIMATED EXPENDITURES AND RECOIiMENDED TRANSFERS FOR YEAR ENDING
DECENBER 31, 1971, APPROVED. Mr. Dalen presented Statement of Estimated .
Expenditures and Recommended Transfers for Year Ending December 31, 1971, which
statement ~7as reviewed by Council. Discussion ensued as to whether it is legal
to deposit public funds of the Village in a savings and loan association. Mr.
Dalen will check into the matter.

BE IT RESOLVED that the Statement of Estimated Expenditures and Recommended
Transfers for the year ending December 31, 1971, be approved as submitted by the
Village Treasurer.
Motion for adoption of the resolution was seconded by Councilman Van Valkenburg
and on rollcall there were four ayes and no nays and the resolution was adopted,

RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, Mrs. Nary Emma Willson has given many years of faithful service to
the Village of Edina as a resident since 1902 and as an employee of the
Village of Edina since 1956; and
VHEREAS, Mrs. TJillson has endeared herself to her fellow workers and to the
citizens she served with her cheery smile and her willingness to ably assist
wherever and whenever she was needed; and
WHXREAS, Mrs. Willson has retired from her position with the Village of Edina;
and
l;JHEREAS, Mrs. Willson will be fondly missed by all persons with whom she worked;
