r HELD AT CITY HALL, JULY 13, 1977
Pursuant to due notice given, Council met in special session at 7:30 p.m. in the
City Hall Conference Room.
Schmidt, Shaw and Mayor Van Valkenburg. Present also were Mmes. Virginia Bodine,
Virginia Shaw, Messrs. Warren Burke, William Greer, Jack Rice, Helge Thomsen and
Warren Hyde.
Search Committee resumes of 129 applicants for the position of City Manager and
listened to taped telephone conversations between the Mayor, Jack Rice and 13
of the applicants who were considered by the Committee as being most qualified.
After discussion, some of them were dropped from further consideration. The
Mayor advised that three to five additional applicants wguld be interviewed by
