OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
EDINA CITY COUNCIL HELD AT CITY HALL
APRIL 25, 1983
Answering rollcall were Members Bredesen, Turner and Mayor Courtney.
LEWIS PARK LIGHTING BID AWARDED. Mr. Rosland presented tabulation 6f three bids
for Lewis Park lighting showing Edina Electric low bidder at $43,704.00; Gopher
Electric at $53,587.00; and Hoffman Electric at $54;250.00.
was seconded by Member Bredesen for award of bid to recominded low bidder Edina
Electric Company.
Member Turner's motion I Ayes: Bredesen, Turner, Courtney
Nays: None
Motion carried.
BID AWARDED FOR TWO PICK-UP TRUCKS. Mr. Rosland presented tabulation of two bids
received for two (2) Four-wheel Drive Diesel Trucks, showing Superior Ford, Inc.
low bidder at $24,488.00 and Eddies Ford at $25,020.00. Member Bredesen's motion
was seconded by Member Turner for award of bid to recommended low bidder Superior
Ford, Inc.
Ayes: Bredesen, Turner, Courtney
Nays: None - L. & Motion carried.
LONG RANGE PLANNING DISCUSSION CONTINUED. Council reviewed external threats and
opportunities together with internal weaknesses and strengths to develop key
strategy issues. These key issues were then discussed as to alternative courses
of action possible to resolve these issues.
