Walk With the Mayor Scheduled for Dec. 15
Edina, Minn., Nov. 8, 2018 – The December Walk With the Mayor is scheduled from 9 to 10 a.m.
Saturday, Dec. 15. The walk will be held at Southdale Center. Participants should meet near the Caribou
Coffee in center court at 9 a.m.
“We are moving back inside for the winter and will use both of our malls for good walking and great
conversation over the next four months,” said Mayor James Hovland. “A good cup of coffee might be
appealing on the Walk as well. Please consider joining us on the third Saturday of each month if you are not
heading to warmer places this winter!”
Participating in the Walk with the Mayor gives community members a chance to voice concerns, share
opinions and thoughts as well as just talk with Hovland while getting to know the City a little bit better. No
prior registration is required to attend Walk With the Mayor; simply show up at the designated meeting time
to walk and talk with Mayor Hovland.
Upcoming walks include:
9-10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 at Galleria Edina, meet near the Starbucks near Door 4
9-10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at Galleria Edina, meet near the Starbucks near Door 4
9-10 a.m. Saturday, March 16 at Southdale Center, meet near the Caribou Coffee in center court
Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes.
