OF THE WORK SESSION OF THE
EDINA CITY COUNCIL
HELD AT CITY HALL
JANUARY 19, 2010
5:00 P.M.
Mayor Hovland called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. in the Mayor's Conference Room of City Hall.
Answering rollcall were Members Bennett, Brindle, Housh, Swenson and Mayor Hovland. Also
attending when persons were being interviewed for their respective board or commission were: Chris
Rofidal, Heritage Preservation Board Chair; Russ Stanton, Human Rights and Relations Commission
Chair; Todd Fronek, Park Board Chair; and Geof Workinger, Transportation Commission Chair. City
Manager Hughes was also in attendance.
Mayor Hovland stated the purpose of the meeting was to interview applicants for appointment to the
various City Council Advisory Boards, Committees and Commissions.
The following candidates for appointment were interviewed: Peter Simpson, Kitty O'Dea, Todd
Willmert, Michael P. Carlson, Colleen Curran, Paul Nelson, Ross Davis, Tim Jordheim, and Kumar
Belani.
There being no further business, Mayor Hovland adjourned the meeting at 6:55 p.m.
