Get Text Notifications on Parks & Recreation Events
Edina, Minn., Aug. 24, 2019 – When it’s been raining half the day, is your softball game canceled?
Would you like a reminder of a concert or event? Or when activity registration begins?
The Edina Parks & Recreation Department is now sending text alerts on topics of high interest. The alerts are sent right to cellphones.
People can sign up for notifications by texting a keyword to 57838.
Parks & Recreation program information: Text PROGRAMS to 57838

Parks & Recreation is discontinuing its information phone line for field closures. To learn about field closures or activity cancellations, sign up for the closures text list or visit
EdinaParks.com, where any closures will be posted.
Cellphone carrier rules limit people to signing up for three text lists per day.
