Residents Encouraged to ‘Walk With the Mayor’ Feb. 22
Edina, Minn., Jan. 30, 2013 – Edina Mayor Jim Hovland will lead his monthly “Walk with the Mayor”
indoors on Feb. 22, a week later than usual.
To promote Edina’s initiative to a healthier lifestyle, Hovland is leading a monthly two-mile walk
typically on the third Saturday morning of every month. In February, Hovland has a prior
commitment on Feb. 15, requiring him to move the walk back a week.
Those interested in walking and talking with Hovland should meet at 9 a.m. at the Caribou Coffee
inside Southdale Center, 5195 Southdale Circle. During the walk around Southdale, the group will
talk about future plans for redevelopment in the area and current events in Edina.
Hovland will also lead a walk on March 15. The walk should take about an hour.
