Residents Invited To Walk Fred Richards Site
Edina, Minn., July 1, 2014 – The City of Edina’s Parks & Recreation Department invites residents to walk
the Fred Richards site to talk about the process of repurposing the golf course.
Beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at Lake Edina Park, 4400 Parklawn Ave., residents will walk the
perimeter of Fred Richards Golf Course with Jeff and Kathy Schoenbauer of Schoenbauer Consulting, and will
solicit input on the repurposing of the site. Specifically, the walk will focus on the borders of the property and
its impacts on neighboring property owners.
“We want residents to come so we can become as familiar as we can with issues to their adjoining
properties,” said Jeff Shoenbauer, the project consultant. “Those in the surrounding neighborhoods who
envision themselves using the future park are encouraged to attend.”
Those unable to make the site walk can provide feedback online www.EdinaMN.gov/fred-richards-repurpose
or www.SpeakUpEdina.org.
