Fall into the Arts Festival set for Sept. 6-7
Edina, Minn., Aug. 14, 2014 – The City’s annual “Fall Into the Arts Festival” is fast approaching and both
artists and residents are gearing up to spend the weekend at Centennial Lakes Park.
Drawing as many as 12,000 people from the surrounding metropolitan area each year, the Fall Into the Arts
Festival will feature approximately 250 exhibitors representing diverse media such as sculpture, wearable art,
glass, photography and jewelry.
“Centennial Lakes is a gorgeous location…we’re really looking forward to a wonderful event,” said Edina Art
Center General Manager Michael Frey, who coordinates the event as a fundraiser for the Edina Crime
Prevention Fund, Centennial Lakes Park and Edina Art Center.
The final details are being put into place now to ensure a successful event and to maintain the positive
feedback the City has gotten in regards to the Festival.
“It’s usually a beautiful weekend right after Labor Day. It’s a great day for people to come out, buy art and
have a little interaction with the artists,” said Frey. “One thing artists tell me is that it’s their favorite art
festival of the year.”
The Fall Into the Arts Festival, sponsored by Borton Volvo, Dick Blick Art Materials, Fairview Physician
Associates and The Waters of Edina, will be held at Centennial Lakes Park, 7499 France Ave. S., Edina, from
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7.
