Dear Tom:
and Karon M. Amundson
During the fall of 1069 the Village of 9dina very ob-li4ingly
granted to Oorvin Amundson and Karen Amundson an easement for
private driveway purposes across the north 20 feet of the
volt 85 feet of Lot 22, Block IS, "'Fairfax, Hennepin County
Minna Sot,%,L, This piece of property was a ;dart of a rathor
large eon#oyatte made by the State of Minnesota to the Village
of Edina on April 29, 1954.. The actual conveyance was filed with
the Register of Deeds of Hennepin County On May 12,,1954 in
Book 1996 ot Deeds, Page 633 as Doe, No 2973436. The easezoat,

foTfotturo of the easement. There would, be no problem: WOTe, it

said property must, be used,;,for P ark PLUTpq-s6,s or there woul4be,

Mr. Plut%er of the State of Minnesota indicated that this is not
an uncommon problom and folt, that it could be best solved by,
arranging for the Village to reconvey the 0440me . nt property to the
State and the S-tato, in turn, would authorize Hennepin County to
sell this property. The only one having any possible interest,,
would bt Amundsons, By doing It in this manner the property would

be put back on tho tax rolls.
I do hava Photographs of the "before" and "after" to show all of the
work that has been done and tho fact that this particular strip of
property was not actually essential to the park area. Unfort4nately,
my copy Machine does not reproduce photographs with a great deal of
efficiency but per'llaps you can, at least, get an idea of what was
done. Photographs marked 1, 2, 5, and 4 in the reproduction are the
"after" and photographs marked 5, 4G and 7 are the "beforalf.
I will approciato haaring fiom You after you have had an opportunity
to review this with the village personnel.
Thank You for your helpful -aess.
Vary truly yours,
