Kids cooling off at an Edina
playground program
As we look forward to the winter season changing to spring
and summer, we reflect on our efforts over the past year to
combat the COVID-19 pandemic. After a year of collective and
individual sacrifice, health concerns and hardship, we hope
for a return to normalcy in 2021. The one positive of 2020 we
hope continues is your high use and patronage of our park
and recreation system.
The offerings we plan to provide over the next year have
been carefully curated to provide you with social, mental and
physical health benefits. Our staff has spent considerable
time planning these offerings in consultation with a variety
of experts to follow the most recent guidance to help limit
risk in this environment while providing a quality program,
event or class for your enrichment. How you enter and use
our facilities might be different, but we hope the quality
amenities still provide you with value in your recreational
pursuits. Inside this directory we hope you find ways to stay
active, learn or enhance a new skill and re-engage with your
community. Most importantly, we hope these programs and
events provide you with fun and enjoyment.
On behalf of our entire Parks & Recreation Department, we
want to express our gratitude to all of you for your dedicated
patronage and use of our parks and recreational facilities and
program offerings over the past year. We take great pride in
providing our residents and patrons these opportunities and
we look forward to your participation.
