On March 24, 1982 the Minnesota Municipal Board received resolutions from the
City of Bloomington which requested the detachment of certain property and the City
of Edina which requested the annexation of the same territory pursuant to Minnesota
Statutes 414.061.
After review of the resolutions, the Minnesota Municipal Board hereby makes
and files the following Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law and Order.
FINDINGS OF FACT
1. That a resolution supporting detachment of certain properties was received
from the City of Bloomington and a resolution supporting annexation of said property
was received from the City of Edina.
2. The resolutions contained all the information required by statute including
a description of the territory proposed for detachment and annexation which is as follows:
Lot 1, Block 11 NORTHWESTERN FINANCIAL CENTER, according to the
plat thereof, on file or of record in the office of the Registrar
of Titles, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
and
That part of-U.S. Interstate Highway No. 494 as dedicated in said
plat of NORTHWESTERN FINANCIAL CENTER, and that part of said U.S.
Interstate Highway No. 494 in the Northeast Quarter of the North-
west Quarter of Section 5, Township 27, Range 24, which lies
northerly and easterly of said plat of NORTHWESTERN FINANCIAL
CENTER,. lying northerly of the following described line:
Commencing at the northwest corner of said Lot 1;
thence South 00 degrees 26 minutes 09 seconds West
assumed basis for bearings, 400•.88 feet along the
west line of said plat of NORTH MSTERN FINANCIAL
CENTER, to the point of beginning of the line to be
described; thence North 67 degrees 24 minutes 16
seconds East 410.57 feet; thence easterly 214.91
feet on a tangential curve concave to the south,
radius 2216.83 feet and central angle 5 degrees 33
minutes 17 seconds; thence North 72 degrees 57
minutes 33 seconds East 587.55-feet, tangent to
said curve, to the north line of said Northeast Quarter
of.the N.o =thwest Quarter and there terminating.

3. The area proposed for detachment is situated within the City of Bloomington
and abuts the municipal boundary of the City of Edina.
CONCLUSIONS OF LAW
1. The Minnesota Municipal Board duly acquired and now has jurisdiction
of the within proceeding.
2. An order should be issued by the Minnesota Municipal Board concurrently
detaching•and' annexing the area described herein.
O R D E R
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED: That the property described in Findings of Fact II be,
and the same hereby is, detached from the City of Bloomington and annexed to the
City of Edina, the same as if it had originally been made a part thereof.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED: That the effective date of this order is April 6, 1982
at 12:00 noon.
