OF THE EDINA CITY COUNCIL
WORK SESSION
COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY HALL
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2021

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Hovland called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Answering roll call were Members Anderson, Jackson, Pierce, Staunton, and Mayor Hovland.
Staff in attendance: Lisa Schaefer, Assistant City Manager; MJ Lamon, Community Engagement Coordinator;
Cary Teague, Community Development Director; Emily Bodeker, Assistant City Planner; Andrew Scipioni,
Transportation Planner; Jennifer Bennerotte, Communications Director; Perry Vetter, Parks & Recreation
Director; Heidi Lee, Race and Equity Coordinator; Stephanie Hawkinson, Affordable Housing Development
Manager; and Sharon Allison, City Clerk.
Commission chairs in attendance: Julia Selleys, Community Health; Annie Schilling, Heritage Preservation; Kate
Agnew, Planning; Michael Epstein, Human Rights & Relations; Kirk Johnson, Transportation; Hilda Martinez,
Energy & Environment; Rebecca Sorensen, Arts & Culture; and Rick Ites, Parks & Recreation.
2022 COMMISSION PROPOSED WORK PLANS
Commission chairs presented their 2022 proposed work plan initiatives. Lamon stated that on Nov. 3, staff
would present the final initiatives with Council approval scheduled for Dec. 7.
The Council asked questions and provided feedback.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Hovland adjourned the meeting at 6:52 p.m.
