Explorer Post 925 Takes First in Statewide Competition
Edina, Minn., Nov. 5, 2013 – Edina/Eden Prairie Law Enforcement Explorer Post 925 placed in two
competitions at the 18th-annual Duluth Explorer Conference last month.
Post 925 won first place in the “Traffic Stops” and third place in “Crime Scene Investigation” competitions.
52 Explorers teams from Minnesota participated in this year’s competition to keep participant’s skills sharp
and introduce them to realistic scenarios that will benefit their careers.
Explorer Post 925 is made up of 26 Edina and Eden Prairie students interested in law enforcement. Members
range in age from 14 to 21. The Explorers learn firsthand about the law enforcement profession through
lectures, practical scenarios, ride-alongs and volunteering with the police department. Post 925 is part of
a national program that includes more than 33,000 Explorers and 8,425 adult advisors.
Post 925 meets at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday at the South Metro Public Safety Training Facility, 7525 Braemar
Blvd., in Edina.
