FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
$1,000 reward offered in vandalism case
Edina, Minn., Nov. 25, 2013 – The Edina Crime Prevention Fund is offering a $1,000 reward for
information leading to the apprehension, arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for
vandalizing a sculpture on the Edina Promenade sometime between Nov. 18 and Nov. 20.
The vandalized bronze statue titled “Look and You Will Find It” featured six figurines, until one was pried off,
causing nearly $2,000 in damages. This is the fourth piece of public art to be vandalized on the Edina
Promenade this year.
“These senseless acts do not represent the residents of Edina, and our growing reputation as a City known
for its public art,” said Barbara La Valleur, chair of the Edina Public Art Committee. “Vandalizing public art
affects the livelihood of the artists. We’re hoping the missing piece of this statue will be returned.”
If you have information regarding this incident or suspects, contact the Edina Police Department at 952-826-
1600, any time of day. Your identity may remain confidential. The Edina Crime Prevention Fund is the sole
judge of any point of contention regarding the reward, and any decision on any issue connected with the
reward is final.
