Edina Art Center kicks off annual teen art show March 1
Edina, Minn., Feb. 16, 2012 - Are you looking for a fun, family-friendly event featuring art by up-and-
coming talent? Look no further than the Edina Art Center.
The second annual “Young I’s” juried teen art show will open to the public Thursday, March 1, and be on
display through Wednesday, March 28. The showcase will open with a reception and silent auction 5 p.m. The
launch event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided, and many of the student artists
featured in the show will be on hand to discuss their work.
Last year’s inaugural showcase drew 70 entries from young Edina area artists working in a variety of formats,
including photographs, paintings and mixed media. Due to interest, this year’s showcase was open to high
school students throughout the Twin Cities metro area. The theme is “The Net Generation.”
“Young I’s” entries will be displayed in the Art Center’s Margaret Foss Gallery, 4701 W. 64th St. Hours are 9
a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. For more
