While teammates climb Adventure Peak together, parents have a great place to visit. We offer the activities and space to celebrate. You bring in the food and beverages and you are sure to have a ball. Adventure Peak offers challenging climbs for youth ages 2 to 12. The Great Hall is a great spot for basketball, scooters, running and jumping. Mondays through Thursdays, the cost is just $70 for up to 10 children and only $7 per addi- tional child. BRAEMAR GOLF DOME The Braemar Golf Dome practice facility is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily from November through mid-April and is closed during the summer. Our dome is the largest and longest-hitting in the Twin Cities area with 46 tee areas on two levels. Prices are $7.50 for buckets on weekdays and $10.50 per half-hour of timed golf on weekends. Two golfers may share one tee. Winter is the perfect time to work on your game, so take advantage of our group and private lessons. The dome also features golf Kids Kamps over the winter holiday break. BARNYARD BOOGIE It's a knee-slappin' good time for all! Kids, parents and grandparents - everyone is invited! Our full-size petting zoo lets you get up-close to farm animals right here in Edina. Kick up your heels to fun and crazy songs by a kid-friendly DJ. Popcorn and lemonade will be served. Jamba Juice will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds supporting Edina Park &. Recreation. Adults must provide supervision. Reservations are not required. Lanes may be rented by adults 18 years or older. Persons younger than 18 must share a lane with an accompanying adult. The cost is $15 per lane per half-hour. For two people sharing a lane, the charge for the second person is $10. Bullseye shooting with pistols only (exceptions are .22 gauge rim-fire rifles). No silhouette targets. No automatic weapons. Ear and eye protection are required, and may be rented. Targets may be purchased on-site. Ammunition is not available on- site. For more information, call 952-653-0671. INTRODUCTION TO HANDGUNS AND FIREARMS SAFETY This program provides a hands-on experience in firearms safety for people who are new gun owners, are thinking of purchasing a firearm for personal safety or just want to learn the basics of handing a firearm. Participants will learn important safety procedures for handling of pistols and use of firearms range; become familiar with different types of pistols, parts and operation, learn the proper use of ammunition; become familiar with loading and unloading firearms; practice pistol stance, grip and use of gun sights; use live ammunition on indoor firing range with the assistance of firearms instructors; practice shooting using a police firearms simulator; be informed of state laws and procedures regard- ing the purchase and carrying of a hand gun. INTRODUCTION TO HANDGUNS AND FIREARMS SAFETY This program provides a hands-on experience in firearms safety for people who are new gun owners, are thinking of purchasing a firearm for personal safety or just want to learn the basics of handing a firearm. Participants will learn important safety procedures for handling of pistols and use of firearms range; become familiar with different types of pistols, parts and operation, learn the proper use of ammunition; become familiar with loading and unloading firearms; practice pistol stance, grip and use of gun sights; use live ammunition on indoor firing range with the assistance of firearms instructors; practice shooting using a police firearms simulator; be informed of state laws arid procedures regard- ing the purchase and carrying of a hand gun. The City of Edina Park and Recreation Department is forming 2009-10 adult volleyball leagues. Official games will be held Wednesday evenings beginning Oct. 14. The leagues end play in early March. This season, there will be a co rec "D-level" division. Playoffs will be a double-elimination tournament. At least half of the players on a team must live or work in Edina.
