Centennial Lakes Park offers summer family entertainment
Edina, Minn., June 3, 2011 – Centennial Lakes Park offers family entertainment throughout the
summer, including a series of concerts, performances, children’s events and Movies in the Park.
Concerts will be held at 7 p.m. Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays in the Maetzold Amphitheater, 7499
France Ave. S. Solo and duo informal performances will be at 7 p.m. every Tuesday on the Centennial
Lakes Park walkways. Children’s shows will be at noon Tuesdays and Thursdays in the amphitheater. At
sunset on Thursdays, a Movie in the Park will be shown on the big screen in the amphitheater.
In case of rain, all Centennial Lakes Park events, except shows on Tuesdays and the Movie in the Park
on Thursdays, will be held inside Edinborough Park, 7700 York Ave. S. in Edina. In the event of rain, the
Tuesday shows and Movie in the Park will not be rescheduled.
Centennial Lakes Park, a 24-acre park and recreational area, features more than 1.5 miles of
paved pathways around a 10-acre lake, as well as beautifully landscaped grounds, formal and
informal seating areas, gardens, swinging benches and fountains. Summer recreational opportunities
include an 18-hole bentgrass putting course, championship croquet courts, lawn bowling areas and four-
person paddleboats.
