The open house is a follow up to workshops held in September. “The September workshops were extremely successful. This month, we will transition our efforts by reacting to design concepts, hearing from a wide variety of groups and beginning to narrow in on specific ideas,” said GrandView Small Area Planning Committee Chair Kevin Staunton. “If you have not been involved to date, there are numerous ways to have your voice heard. Since no final decisions have been made, now is the time to participate.” At the open house 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 at the Edina Senior Center, 5280 Grandview Square, the public will be asked to react to concepts being considered by the GrandView Small Area Plan Steering Committee. During the open house, small group discussions will be facilitated, allowing for public feedback. Earlier in the week, the Steering Committee will hold meetings with various focus groups, which will be asked to react and fill in details for numerous “framework concepts.” The Steering Committee is actively seeking volunteers who fit the demographics below.
