Summer camps begin at Edina Art Center June 15
Edina, Minn., May 13, 2011 – The Edina Art Center’s summer Art Camps begin June 14 and
continue through Aug. 25 for children and teens ages 4 to14.
More than 70 exciting workshops and three-day camps are offered in a wide range of camp
offerings, including hand-building with clay, clay on the wheel, watercolor painting, drawing
basics, perspective, acrylic painting, oil painting, wire sculpture, beading, mixed media, sculpture
from recycled materials and nature-inspired art.
Camps are held Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Morning camps meet from 9:30 a.m. to
noon. Afternoon camps are held 1 to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $54 for Edina members, $64 for
non-resident members and $74 for non-members per camp. There is an $8 supply fee and $9
fee if you would like a supervised lunch each day. Scholarships are available to those in need.
The Edina Art Center, 4701 W. 64th St., provides the community with a place to enjoy art and a
