North American Banking Company establishes fund for
Auguston family
Edina, Minn., Feb. 23, 2010 – North American Banking Company will host a fund to aid the family
of Matthew and Jeanette Auguston, whose home at 5000 Arden Ave. was leveled Feb. 23 by an
explosion following a gas leak in the area.
Donations can be made to the Auguston Fund in care of North American Banking Company, 4999
France Ave., Suite 120, Minneapolis, MN 55410. Please write “Auguston Fund” in the memo line of
the check.
Becca Virden, a spokeswoman for CenterPoint Energy, said that the house exploded after a
contractor for a cable company severed an underground natural gas main nearby. Work had been
going on in the street for a couple of days. No one was hurt in the blast, but many homes in the area
were evacuated until late Feb. 23, when CenterPoint and Edina Fire officials deemed them safe.
