Applications being accepted for appointment to boards,
commissions
Edina, Minn., Nov. 19, 2010 – The Edina City Council is accepting applications for 2011
appointments to its advisory boards and commissions.
Advisory boards and commissions with anticipated vacancies include Art Center Board, Board of
Appeal & Equalization, Community Health Committee, Construction Board of Appeals, Energy &
Environment Commission, Human Rights & Relations Commission, Planning Commission and
Transportation Commission. Most volunteer positions are three-year terms.
Most advisory boards include student representatives. Student appointments are one-year terms.
Applications for student appointments will be accepted in the spring. Those terms will begin in the fall
of 2011 after the start of the 2011-2012 school year.

call City Clerk Debra Mangen, 952-826-0408. Applications must be received at Edina City Hall by 4:30
p.m. Friday, Dec. 17.
All of the appointments must be approved by the Edina City Council. The City Council intends to
interview all applicants. Interviews will be held after hours on Jan. 5, 6 and 11. Appointments will be
made in early 2011.
