Acceptance of Ordinance
RECITALS:
1. At a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Edina held on August 2, 2023, a
gas franchise ordinance entitled Ordinance No. 2023-10 was duly passed by the City Council.
2. The gas franchise ordinance was duly approved by James Hovland, Mayor of the City
of Edina, on August 2, 2023, and was duly published in the Sun Current, the official newspaper
of the City of Edina, on August 10, 2023.
3. Section 2.2 of the franchise ordinance provides for written acceptance by CenterPoint
Energy Resources Corp. d/b/a CenterPoint Energy Minnesota Gas ("CenterPoint Energy").
4. It is the purpose of this instrument to effect a due and sufficient acceptance of the
franchise ordinance.
ACCEPTANCE:
CenterPoint Energy, for itself, its successors and assigns, accepts the franchise
ordinance referred to in Recital 1 upon the terms and conditions contained therein.
Executed this 23rd day of August, 2023.

CenterPoint Energy would like to extend its appreciation to the City of Edina for renewing its
natural gas franchise agreement.
The final step in the franchise agreement process is for CenterPoint Energy to include in the file
an Acceptance of Ordinance, two copies of which are enclosed for your city clerk's signature.
Once Sharon Allison has reviewed/signed, please return one copy for my file in the enclosed
self-addressed stamped envelope. Also enclosed is a check in the amount of $119 to reimburse
the City of Edina for the publication fee of Ordinance No. 2023-10.
