Police Department to Host Open House Sept. 20
Edina, Minn., Sept. 1, 2023 – Residents of all ages are invited to the Edina Police Department’s Open House 4:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Edina City Hall, 4801 W. 50th St.
The event is free to attend. Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in the Ninja Anywhere obstacle course, Police Department tours, Edina Art Center station and Trading Card
Scavenger Hunt. Food and beverage will be available to purchase from food trucks.
Attendees will also be able to meet with the Edina Police Department’s bike patrol, motorcycle officers, K-9 officers, SWAT team, crisis negotiation team and drone team. The Edina Fire
Department will also be in attendance along with Bloomington Bomb Squad, Hennepin County Joint Community Police Partnership, Minnesota State Patrol, Hennepin County Water Patrol, Community
Outreach for Psychiatric Emergencies (COPE) and more.
“There will be something for everyone at the Open House,” said Sgt. Emily Jepson. “We’re looking forward to opening the Police Department doors so Edina residents can experience the
hard work and dedication of our officers, dispatchers and support staff. It’s going to be a fun night!”
The City Hall parking lot will be closed for the Open House’s outdoor activities. Parking will be available at Edina Executive Plaza, 5200 Willson Road. A shuttle will be available for
those with accessibility needs.
