FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Electrify Everything Workshop in Edina Oct. 14
Edina, Minn., Sep. 29, 2023 – Learn about going all electric at home at the Electrify Everything workshop 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Edina Public Works & Park Maintenance
Facility, 7450 Metro Blvd.
At the workshop, residents will learn about each step of electrifying a home and the technical and financial resources available to help. Contractors will be available at the workshop
to answer questions and share information about different technologies.
Technologies like heat pumps for heating and cooling, induction stoves, electric clothes dryers, heat pump water heaters, and insulation are all key ways to electrify at home. Whether
a resident wants to improve indoor air quality for home health and safety, lower their carbon footprint or keep upfront costs down, the workshop provides step-by-step guidance to develop
a plan to electrify a home on a realistic timeline. Attendees will also learn how to take full advantage of federal and local financial incentives and support.
Electrify Everything is a program to engage and inform residents about how they can electrify their homes by replacing their fossil fuel (like natural gas) appliances with high-efficiency
options that run on clean electricity.
Registration is required for this workshop. To register, visit bit.ly/ElectrifyWorkshop. If a transit pass is needed to attend, email info@electrifyeverythingmn.org.
This workshop series is brought to residents by the Minnesota Center for Energy and Environment and the cities of Edina, Eden Prairie and St. Louis Park.
