Edina Police Seeks Help in Armed Robbery Case
Edina, Minn., Nov. 20, 2023 – The Edina Police Department responded to an armed robbery of a U.S. postal worker around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, in the 5700 block of W. 66th Street,
and now seeks the public’s help in finding more information.
Investigators believe the postal worker was targeted and followed by two suspects in a newer, mid-size, dark colored SUV. The postal worker was approached by a suspect, armed with a
gun, who came from the passenger side of the vehicle. The suspect is described as a Black man with dreadlocks; in his mid-20s; 5-foot-nine, approximately 170-200 pounds; and wearing
a black, hooded sweatshirt. The postal worker was not injured during the encounter.
Investigators are looking for any kind of outdoor camera footage that shows any suspicious dark SUVs or anyone who may have witnessed the robbery.
