EdinaParks.com2023–2024 WINTER/SPRING 2 Welcome to the new look of the Parks & Recreation Activities Directory! We’ve designed a shorter publication still packed full of fun activities, events and facilities to visit for the winter and spring seasons. The new directory will make finding programs easier and will be sent to homes three times a year, closer to when programs begin. This directory will cover activities from approximately December to March. It will be important that you have an account set up in CivicRec, our online registration system, to access activity details. Scholarships Connect Card Program • Pays for free access or reduced price on activities. • Eligible for Edina residents (any age) or those who attend school in Edina. • Cardholders are responsible for paying tax on any taxable items. • Apply online or print application and mail; call 952-300-2378 for application (available in English, Somali or Spanish). • An annual credit can be added to your CivicRec account so you can register on your own; to add credit, call the Parks & Recreation Office at 952-826-0367. Edina Give and Go Program • Provides grants for Edina Public Schools students to participate in academics, arts and sports. • Apply by visiting EdinaGiveandGo.org; online application form available in multiple languages. Adaptive Recreation The Adaptive Recreation and Learning Exchange (AR & LE) offers activities designed to meet diverse needs of people with disabilities. Click on “Register for Activities." • Select “Log in/Create Account” in the upper left. Walk through Braemar Park on a 30-minute self-guided trail lit with luminaries. Snowshoes are available. Register as a family; limit four people per family/registration.
