Call to Order Chair Lonnquist called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. II. Roll Call Answering roll call were Chair Lonnquist, Commissioners Cundy, Everson, Nickels, Jarvinen, Farrell-Straus, and Kiely. Staff present: HPC Staff Liaison Emily Bodeker and Consultants Elizabeth Gales, Rachel Peterson and Building Official Nate Borwege. Staff introduced Building Official Nate Borwege. III. Approval of Meeting Agenda Motion made by Farrell-Straus, seconded by Cundy, to approve the meeting agenda as submitted. All voted aye. The motion carried. IV. Approval of Meeting Minutes Motion made by Everson, seconded Nickels, to approve the September 12, 2023, meeting minutes. All voted aye. The motion carried. V. Community Comment: None. VI. Reports/Recommendations A. COA Amendment: 4633 Arden Avenue Liaison Bodeker presented the proposed COA amendment at 4633 Arden Avenue for the rebuilt chimney and the change to the front door and sidelights. The applicant, Scott Busyn and property owners, Kathleen and Wayne Volland also introduced themselves and explained the request. Anne Scoggin, 4610 Arden Avenue, gave her comments on the proposed project. Robin Gould, 4630 Arden Avenue, gave her comments on the project. The commission asked questions to staff, the consultants and the applicant. Draft Minutes☐ Approved Minutes☒ Approved Date: 1/09/24 Motion made by Cundy, seconded by Jarvinen, to approve the rebuilt chimney as presented with the condition of recreating the measurements and dimensions of the original chimney. All voted aye. The motion carried. Motion made by Farrell-Strauss, seconded by Cundy to approve the changes to the door and sidelights as presented by the applicant. All voted ate. The motion carried. B. Chair and Member Comments: None. C. Staff Comments: Staff informed the commission that Commissioner Pollock resigned from the HPC. Staff informed the commission that Commission Schilling resigned from the HPC. Staff and the commission expressed their gratitude to both commissioners for their time and work on the Heritage Preservation Commission. D. Adjournment Motion made by Cundy, seconded by Farrell-Strauss, to adjourn the meeting at 8:33 pm. All voted aye. The motion carried. Respectfully submitted, Emily Bodeker
