Tyler Ball Promoted to Captain at Edina Fire
Edina, Minn., Mar. 6, 2024 – Tyler Ball was promoted to Captain at the Edina Fire Department Monday, March 4.
Ball began his service with the City of Edina in April 2018 as a Paramedic/Firefighter. He has 15 years of experience as a first responder, having previously worked for Mdewakanton Emergency
Services in Prior Lake and the City of Savage. Ball completed a paramedic program at Ridgewater Technical College and fire suppression program at Hennepin Technical College.
Prior to his promotion, Ball had been working as an Interim Captain assigned to the B Shift since Jan. 1. Before the position of Interim Captain, Ball worked in the Fire Inspections
Division where he gained valuable experience in Fire Prevention, Suppression Systems and Public Education.
“Captain Ball has gained valuable experience in the interim role and we look forward to his continued growth and leadership in the years ahead,” said Fire Chief Andrew Slama.
