II. DIRECTOR'S REPORT
Arti Gras
Special thank you to Sandy Clark who painted each Arti Gras
invitation.
Betty Paugh and her committee are working on masks for the center
pieces.
For the live auction we are trying to find a local auctioneer. The
auction will be held in the Edinborough pool area. Mollie has been to
the Cahill retailers and solicited for donations. We have more than
$13,000 in merchandise to date.
Publicity is going well. Mary Durben from the Sun wrote a nice
article about the event. Another article will be in the paper next
week.
The entertainment is lined up. Diana Hedges asked for someone to
assist the group on the night of the Arti Gras and to take care of
name tags. Suzie Kelm volunteered to help with the entertainment and
Dodie Paul volunteered to help with the name tags.
All donations need to be in by February 1st in order to make the
catalogue for the auction.
The areas we need more help are in the Set-up and Clean-up of the
event.
Other
Winter class schedule is out. It is 6 pages instead of 8 to reduce
the cost. However, next time it will be back to 8. Having
advertising has helped defer the cost.
Financial: we are up in number of registrations. A year end report
is expected in February.
June 7-10 there is a group going to the Cascade Lodge for an outing.
III. GALLERY AND GIFT SHOP REPORT - MOLLIE PAULSON
Jim VanValkenburg thanked Mollie and Dave Paulson for having the
Christmas party at their house.
Mollie Paulson stated that the gift shop should be $700 to $800 profit
for 1991.
She announced that she has resigned from her position of being gift
shop manager. The Art Center will be taking over the exhibits at
Edinborough. Mollie will coordinate these exhibits for the Art
Center. There will be exhibits at Edinborough every-other month.
March 8th will be the Phyllis Peterson exhibit.
IV. EDINBOROUGH - PAT GREER
Pat Greer announced that she has resigned from the Art Showings at
Edinborough. She is still doing signs and helping with programming
for the Edinborough/Centennial facilities.
January 25th, Odegard Books is sponsoring a skating party at
Centennial from 1-5 pm. It will be a good family event. Other
weekends are schedule with Jazz, a dance and the Commodores will be
singing.
