This year's event, titled “Genocide in Ukraine: From Stalin to Hitler to Putin,” will take place in the Council Chambers of Edina City Hall, 4801 W. 50th St., 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15. The event will also be broadcast live on Edina TV and streamed live on EdinaMN.gov/LiveMeetings. Keynote speaker will be Dr. Ellen J. Kennedy, an Edina resident and founder and Executive Director of World Without Genocide, a renowned human rights organization. The event will delve into the harrowing realities faced by the Ukrainian people through history. Kennedy will address the ongoing crisis in Ukraine along with the atrocities of Hitler that claimed nearly 1.6 million Jewish lives and Stalin's genocidal starvation that claimed nearly 4 million lives, all in Ukraine. “This program describes the genocides and mechanisms for justice for the people of Ukraine," said Kennedy.
