Special Work Session
May 22, 2024
I. Call To Order
Vice Chair Miranda called the meeting to order at 5:09 PM.
II. Roll Call
Answering the roll call were: Commissioners Alkire, Miranda, Daye, Felt, and Padilla. Staff Present: Cary
Teague, Community Development Director, Addison Lewis, Community Development Coordinator, Kris
Aaker, Assistant Planner, and Liz Olson, Administrative Support Specialist.
Absent from the roll call: Commissioner Bornstein, Smith, Hahneman, and Chair Bennett.
III. Zoning Ordinance Audit Discussion
Coordinator Lewis explained the City has contracted with HKGi to complete an audit of the zoning code.
He noted this is the second of two work sessions with a third joint meeting once the report is finalized.
He indicated the information presented at the meeting is a continuation of the discussion on the zoning
districts and the alignment with the Comprehensive Plan and small area plans. He introduced Ms. Beth
Richmond and Mr. Jeff Miller from HKGi.
Commissioner Felt arrived at 5:11 PM.
Ms. Richmond and Mr. Miller updated the Commission on the zoning ordinance audit work to date.
The Commission asked questions and provided feedback.
The work session can be reviewed in the official City meeting audio.
IV. Adjournment
The May 22, 2024 work session was adjourned at 6:33 p.m.
