It is a program of the Joint Community Police Partnership (JCPP). The series will kick off with “Chapter 1: Empowered Women Empower” 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at Centennial Lakes Park, 7499 France Ave. S. The program will be held in the Hughes Pavilion. “It is a space where we can be ourselves and have meaningful conversations,” said JCPP Liaison Jessica Connors. “It’s also an opportunity to highlight women who are doing amazing things in the community.” Topics of discussion will include mental health, motherhood, resources and tools to empower connectedness and community. “This an exciting and innovative way to invite community members into the City of Edina and build relationships with our staff. We value the work we do with the Hennepin County Joint Police Partnership, and plan to host similar events in the future,” said Edina Police Chief Todd Milburn. Register at bit.ly/MotheringSeries.
