Performers Sought for Edinborough Park Entertainment Series
Edina, Minn., Aug. 7, 2024 – Family-friendly performers of all types are sought for the popular indoor entertainment series at Edinborough Park.
In addition to live music from any genre, Edinborough Park welcomes applications from other types of performers, including comedians, dancers, performance artists and puppeteers. The
goal is to offer visitors to the park, 7700 York Ave S., a wide variety of entertainment.
Children’s performances, primarily for ages 2 to 8, draw families from the indoor playpark at Edinborough Park plus the surrounding community. Audiences for the Sunday entertainment
series, which happens after the playpark closes, come from the hotel and condominiums adjacent to Edinborough Park plus the surrounding neighborhoods. Audience size can range from 25
to 300 people.
“Performers tell us that our unique space often reflects in the variety of people that use the park and attend shows,” said Edinborough Park Assistant General Manager Josh Corbin. “In
other words, there is something here for everyone.”
Children’s performances are scheduled 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. every other Thursday. Sunday performances are 6 to 7 p.m. weekly. The Edinborough Park Entertainment Series runs October through
May each year.
Performers are paid a $200 stipend. They must provide their own equipment and sound person, if needed.
Apply by Sept. 5 at EdinaMN.gov/EPperformers.
