New Edina police officer sworn in
Edina, Minn., Sept. 15, 2005 – Brandon Kuske was sworn in earlier this month as the Edina
Police Department’s newest officer.
Kuske, 25, began work as a Police Officer Thursday, Sept. 8. City Clerk Debra Mangen
administered the oath to him Wednesday, Sept. 14. Kuske was sworn in with Chief of Police Mike
Siitari at his side and surrounded by his fellow officers, family and friends. “Brandon received high
marks for his dedication and enthusiasm from his present and past employers,” Siitari said during
the ceremony when he presented Kuske with Badge No. 184. “Those attributes represent the spirit
of the officers we like to have in our Department.”
Kuske joined the U.S. Coast Guard after graduating from Eden Prairie High School in 1999. When
released from active duty after four years, he attended Minnesota State University – Mankato,
where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement.
The Edina Police Department is located at 4801 W. 50th St., in the lower level of City Hall.
