Park and Recreation Department to host end-of-
school movie celebration
Edina, Minn., June 1, 2005 – Come one, come all; come little, come tall! Come join us for a movie in
the park to kick off the summer in style.
The Edina Park and Recreation Department is offering a spectacular venue for middle schoolers to
celebrate the end of a successful 2004-2005 school year. Teenagers will sit outside on a blanket under
the stars with a screen two-stories high spanning the horizon. Reel Big Events’ “Blimpscreen” will be set
up just north of the Rosland Park picnic shelter Friday, June 10. The movie “Liar, Liar,” rated PG-13, will
be shown at 9:20 p.m. and will last 86 minutes.
The plot of the movie revolves around a 5-year-old’s birthday wish that his father, an up-and-coming
attorney, must tell the truth for 24 hours. Bring family, blankets and munchies and relax as the story
unfolds under the moonlight.
Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, this free Connecting With Kids movie event is open to the public. In
