FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Edina Police Department to Host Second Part of Mothering Series
Edina, Minn., Feb. 5, 2025 – The Edina Police Department and the Joint Community Police Partnership (JCPP) program will host the next event in the Mothering Series, designed to bring
women together and create space for mothers.
Chapter 2 of the Mothering Series, “Nurturing the Nurturer,” will take place 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at the South Metro Public Safety Training Facility, 7525 Braemar Blvd.
The event is free to attend and parking is free; registration is requested, but not required.
“This is a space to engage in meaningful conversation, a chance to affirm and own who you are, and find positive ways to refuel and recharge,” said JCPP Liaison Jessica Connors. “This
retreat day is a chance to own the process of understanding yourself and learn from others."
The day will be filled with self-guided activities and discussion to learn how to better show up for oneself, analyze some internal strengths and weaknesses, and learn tools to empower
self-love and self-care.
“Last year’s event was very successful. This year, we want to build on that success and continue to offer similar opportunities to build police and community relationships,” said Edina
Police Chief Todd Milburn.
Register at bit.ly/MotheringSeries. Everyone who registers will be entered into a drawing. The deadline to register is Monday, Feb. 24.
Coffee and conversation will kick off the event. Breakfast and a light lunch will be provided.
