Edina Art Grant Program Now Accepting Applications
Edina, Minn., March 6, 2025 – For the second consecutive year, the City of Edina’s Arts & Culture Commission seeks applications for project proposals that support and facilitate arts
and culture activities and events within Edina.
Projects can be awarded up to $1,000. Applications are due April 1. The applicant must be a Minnesota resident and either an individual, part of an Edina neighborhood group or association
(as defined by City policy) or a legally formed non-profit doing business for the benefit of Edina residents.
“We were so impressed with all of the applicants last year,” said Recreation Supervisor Laura Fulton. “We look forward to seeing our community’s creatively bloom again this year.”
The following criteria must be met:
Project venue must be located in Edina
Event or activity must be open and accessible to the public
Project must not have happened before the date of submission
Project must provide artistic and/or cultural benefit to Edina residents
Proposals may encompass a variety of artistic disciplines and a range of formats, including, but not limited to visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, culturally based arts, and
arts-integrated technology programs. All proposals should strive to address access and equity in the planning and implementation of the project. All grant recipients must abide by state
regulations that bar discrimination. Individuals or organizations may submit only one application per year.
Last year’s awardees included:
$1,000 for the Emerging Artists Program at the Edina Art Fair
$500 for local student performances at the 50th & France Summer Concert Series
$500 for an interactive demonstration of printmaking at the Edina Art Festival Kids Zone and creation of a community cloth
$500 for a musical and cultural Fiesta Latina performance at the Edina Public Library
$1,000 for production recording of Coacello: A multigenerational, multigenre, multicultural celebration of music at Centennial Lakes Park
$1,000 for visual, performing and literary arts at the Edina Asian American Alliance event at Rosland Park
$500 for choreographed art of Tea Ceremonies (Tea Culture Art)
